Eco camp for journalists held in Bor

As a part of a CSConnect project, Association of Young Researchers and Citizen’s Association Village, in cooperation with Journalist’s Association “Ekovest”, have organized “Journalist’s Eco Camp” in Bor, on May 25-27th, 2018. 30 journalists from all over Serbia, specialized in ecology and environmental protection attended the event.

Report on Photo Meeting “Good and Bad Land 2018”

During the implementation of CSConnect project, CA Village and PC Balkan International, in cooperation with Association of Young Researchers, CA Eco Bastina and PC 202 Zajecar, has organized third International Photo Meeting „Good and Bad Land 2018“ on May 25-29th 2018. Over 30 eminent art photographers from Slovenia, Macedonia, Switzerland, Poland, Great Britain and Serbia were shooting at the most attractive locations of Bor’s Region (Lazar’s Cave, Lazar’s Canyon, „Bačije” at Vajala, surface copper mines of Bor and Majdanpek, Red lake, “Ćumurane”, Bor’s river) in order to perpetuate our natural attractions but also and a destructive consequences of human activities.

PC “Serbia Photo” Belgrade, Timoc’s Club from Knjazevac, Timoc’s Youth Center from Zajecar, Doo Rakita Company Bor, Copper Mine Company Bor, Copper Mine Company Majdanpek, National Museum from Zajecar and Serbia Forrest Company from Boljevac also assisted in the realization of this event.

Special thanks to the members of Photo Association Jesenice who were here for the second year in row, now in charge for making friendly atmosphere during the happy hours after the sessions.

Photos made during the event will be presented to the public during the exhibitions organized in Slovenia (Ljubljana), Macedonia (Stip) and Serbia (Bor, Knjazevac, Zajecar), electronic and hard copy catalogues and reports on TV Bor and TV Paracin.

Photo meeting “Good and bad land 2018”, organized by CA “Village” and Photo Club “Balkan”, will be held on May 25th thru May 29th 2018. Public discussion forum held at Brestovac village

On March 21st 2017 at 19.00 hrs, an event in a form of public discussion  on the subject “Proposal of the plan for general regulation of touristic area Bor’s Lake- Brestovac’s Spa and it’s influence to Brestovac’s area“ was held at Brestovac school’s hall. Event was organized by NGO Village in cooperation with partners from CSonnect project and Brestovac municipality.

Representatives of Rakita company, Brestovac’s Council (including Chairman), NGO Village, Association of Young Researchers, Slatina village, Krivelj village and local citizens were attending the event. Presentation of Plan’s proposal, given by Ms. Sanja Apostolov, was followed by constructive discussion. Summary of the proposals and objections on the proposed Plan was prepared by CSConnect project partners and submitted to Bor’s Municipality (see bellow)

And, during this year’s Ethno Song Festival, round table discussion (on June 17th , 11.00 hrs, at Bor Municipality) on the subject: “How to improve representation of National Minorities at state and local level administrations and role of kin countries in supporting it” will be organized. We are expecting representatives of OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities (moderating event, presence confirmed), Swiss (confirmed),Macedonian, Croatian, Greek, Slovenian, Bulgarian and Romanian Embassies and/or Consulates, Romanian, Macedonian, Vlach’s, Slovenian, Bulgarian, Roma and Croatian National Councils, NGO’s, other minority organizations, local and regional media, civil society from Serbia and abroad, and state and local administrations to attend.

NGO Village’s Electoral Assembly Session

NGO Village’s Electoral Assembly Session

At the meeting of NGO Village’s Executive Board, held on November 5th 2015, it was concluded that this year’s program objectives has been fully achieved and the financial report to be presented to the Assembly was adopted. It was also concluded that four year’s mandates of the Assembly, Executive Board and management has expired. So, Executive Board is requesting Chairman of the Assembly to schedule Electoral Assembly session which will be held before the end of calendar year.
